Food Empire Supports Fund Raising Project in Woodgrove Secondary School

Woodgrove Secondary School, a school of excellence, started its journey in year 2000 under the pioneer leadership of Ms Helena Song Kheng, was officially opened on 5th July 2002 by Dr Malik Osman, MP for Sembawang GRC (Admiralty).

In 2007, the school flagged a new principal-ship under Mdm Sung Mee Har. A new school vision, mission are crafted to charge the journey ahead to re-position the school as a School of Choice in nurturing a community of dynamic learners who take ownership of their learning. Embarking on a journey to develop the CoE/D & T as a school niche, the school signed an MOU with MNC AutoDesk and set up an AutoDesk Edulab in its Digital Media Design.

Being a school, pride with many achievements and accolades such as The Green Award by Singapore Environment Council (SEC), the Orchid Award, and the more recent awards like the Thinking Culture Award_Best School Award for its concerted effort towards innovation. The school moved on to become the Centre of Excellence/Design & Technology in 2005.

In 2006, the school has also achieved many accolades for their various performing art groups namely the Chinese Orchestra, the Symphonic Band, Dance and Choir who have consistently clinching good results in competitions.

Food Empire Holdings holds the belief in playing a role in the social community that we are operating in and hence this year, we partnered Woodgrove Secondary School in the fund raising for the needy students and school improvement projects.

Food Empire joins the Woodgrove Secondary School in the celebration of the Year of The Rat on the eve of the Lunar New Year. (Pls see enclosed photos)
