Food Empire Sponsors the Uplifting of Humanities Room in Kuo Chuan Presbyterian Secondary School

Kuo Chuan Presbyterian Secondary School (KCPSS), a school with enriched historical origins, committed to providing a cohesive and creative culture, where staff and students engage in a responsible and skilful effort to be relevant in a changing world, contribute towards the community and beyond through continuous learning and service.

In its continuous pursuit to be an exciting school of choice for the learned and learner, which served as an incubator of influential thinking and deeds, grounded in Christian values.
1985 saw the amalgamation of Kuo Chuan Girls' School and Koon Seng Road School (boys' School) into a fully co-educational full school, Kuo Chuan Presbyterian Secondary School. As the school buildings and facilities had become increasingly inadequate, in 1986, the Ministry of Education allocated a new site at Bishan Street 13 to the school.

In 1987, the full school developed into two schools, named Kuo Chuan Presbyterian Primary School, headed by Mrs Goh Soo Sim, and Kuo Chuan Presbyterian Secondary School, which continued to be headed by Madam Kang.
The Primary School moved to its present site in November 1987 while the secondary school was relocated in June the next year. In January 1991, Mr Low Eng Kee succeeded Madam Kang as principal.

Food Empire Holdings Limited holds the belief of playing a role in the social contribution within the community that the Group is operating in.

The Group has partnered KCPSS in its continuous pursuit of making the school an exciting school of learning - upgrading of special rooms within the school - Humanities Room - with additional resources and new technologies to provide a better learning and teaching environment.
Mr Tan Wang Cheow, Managing Director & Chairman, being a former student of KCPSS, has also taken up a personal sponsorship of the uplifting of the Language Room (Chinese Culture Room).

With the joint effort in the uplifting of the special rooms, the Group looks forward to providing a better, conducive learning and teaching environment for the students and staff in KCPSS.
